What is the one thing we all can do?…. breathe.

So we’re going to start our journey here. This season we’re going to work on strengthening our mental and physical connection. The most natural way to do this is through breathing. This is the one way we know, we have life in our bodies so that’s going to be our foundation.

You’ll be surprised how much power is in controlling your breathing. Being able to do so helps with things like anxiety, and posture and even being able to improve your workout results. In taking the steps to properly learn your breathing you inevitably also start on the journey of learning your body and we love (2 for 1) around here.


Here are some pointers on actually improving your breathing techniques:

  • Start off sitting with your body aligned preferably sitting up. Now find your belly button and imagine putting a belt around you tightening the belt as much as you can while still being able to breathe. (note don’t hold your breath just cinch your waist). As the belt is tightened inhale through your nose watching your chest rise and fall. This is now your first position.

  • Next while holding the first position now let’s talk about your breathing rhythm. Some might get it right away, while for some it might take more time and this is totally ok. The point is to find YOUR rhythm

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
